Shipping Cost have risen again but our pricing remains the same for now.

The cost of shipping has risen again. USPS has raised it rates once more and the average cost to ship even a small item starts at $6.00 for domestic locations. Rural areas and zip codes in the continental 48 states now have an additional service fee from USPS making the base price to ship to those zip codes a minimum of $8.00+

Since we offer free shipping on ALL our items here on our site the increase in shipping fees is hard for us to absorb especially on low cost light weight items, but we remain committed to offer free shipping for the time being.

We may have to change our pricing and go to a calculated shipping option on 3rd party platforms like eBay and Reverb to compensate as the increase in shipping and the cost of selling items on those platforms leaves us with very little profit on our items. The selling cost sometimes can be as high as 25% of the sale price of an item on those platforms. Combine that with the material cost, packaging and shipping supplies and for a 25 dollar leaves very little for us. But for now, things will remain the same as we evaluate how to proceed on those platforms.

Thank you to all who support our small business and thank you for reading my rant! Jay

Returning customers, please read: Updates on new site and User accounts and the reason why we moved.

First let me start off by explaining WHY we changed providers.

Our previous site was hosted by GoDaddy. It had been hosted there for YEARS. GoDaddy Transferred customer data to new servers and in the process lost the data of thousands of GoDaddy customers. They have refused to acknowledge this or provide help to those customers, us being one. Countless emails, messages on Facebook and Phone calls were completely ignored. With no other option we decided to undertake the huge task of moving to another provider.

Since all our data was lost, all of our Reviews, Products, Customer accounts and previous orders were all erased from the backend.

We are so very sorry but as such returning customers will need to create new accounts.

However the change may be a blessing in disguise.  GoDaddy never really offered many featured we wanted, there were issues with their payment processor and always some glitch. To be honest I was just too busy to change providers so I left it as it was.

Unfortunately the move also lost us the ability to take PAYPAL at checkout, but fret not. If you need to pay using PAYPAL we can invoice you and you can still pay with Goods and Services so your still protected, NO FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

We have way more options for offering multi-quantity discounts, loyalty rewards and many other ways to save. We also now offer Business CashApp as a payment option and AfterPay for Buy now pay later options!

While there is still much to do on the back end and product catalog, we are very optimist that this new site and provider will meet all our needs and yours as well. We are open for business!

We would appreciate any reviews you can provide when available as all our previous reviews were on a 3rd part platform that doesn't offer integrating with the new provider.

Thank you all for the kind words and support we have received through messenger and email. We are just a small mom and pop shop with a dream and all of you help keep that dream alive.

Testing the New Site and Blog.

Hello all. Thank you for coming to our new site. Our old provide lost all of our data and offered no help in restoring our lost information. As such, I have had to rebuild a new site from scratch. I lost years of work and data so the rebuild has been slower than I anticipated.

The NEW site is now functioning and product are available for purchase. I will continue to add our products over the coming days, so if a product you wish to purchase is not listed, feel free to contact us and we can setup and order for you.

There is still a lot of backend work to perform as well but the most important parts of the site are functioning normally. Should you encounter and errors or glitches, please let us know so we can address them.

As a small mom and pop company, my wife and I are the ones who keep this train on the tracks and the loss of our site has caused us significant financial harm but with your support we will recover.

Thank you all for your patience while we rebuild what was lost by our previous provider.

Seymour Duncan Duality testing update and initial impressions.

Initial Testing:

So far my testing of the Seymour Duncan Duality pickups with the 24 Volt Mod™ is on schedule.

Initial test results show good compatibility with the Duality pickups but I have a lot more testing to do but so far it looks promising.

My signal chain is only a MOTU m4 into my PC and using various amp sims such as Guitar Rig 5 and Amplitube.

About the Pickups themselves:

All of my testing starts with getting a feel for the pickups using a standard 9 Volt battery. This gives me a good baseline of how the pickups respond to different tonal settings and musical styles.

Testing with a 9 volt battery:

I first started with a clean tone switching between bridge, middle(both) and neck positions. The clean tones are very crisp in the neck position. In the middle position they lose a small amount of clarity. The bridge position lacks the same headroom as the neck pickup and begins to break at higher volumes but it still has a very usable tone.

When adding some overdrive the pickups become crunchy and can play really nice bluesy tones. When adding more overdrive you can achieve a very nice rock tone.

When moving to high gain the bridge pickup squeals very easily and breaks up due to lack of headroom depending on what amp sim I am using. You can very easily get the Swedish chain saw sound with very minor tweaking in guitar rig 5. The neck pickup is much more useable for a stable tone.

Overall the pickups are very good. I will discuss further below.

Testing with the 24 Volt Mod™:

Adding the 24 Volt Mod™ really made huge changes to the harshness of the bridge pickup during my testing. I was surprised to see that while the bridge pickup still has a very hot output but all the breakup from lack of headroom at high gain was smoothed out a lot more than I expected.

Even with clean tones and tones with slight overdrive I felt like the pickups just sounded better although the affect on the neck pickup was minimal in comparison to the improvement in the bridge pickup. I still have a lot of testing to do with the 24 Volt Mod™ but so far it seems to be an improvement at least for the bridge pickup.

First impressions of the Duality set:

These pickups are good in a lot of ways. They feel a lot like passive pickups in most regards. The breakup with higher gain settings in the bridge pickup may be a turn off for some players. Others will absolutely love it. The clean tone from the neck pickup is very nice and they seem to be able to comfortably play a multitude of different styles of music with ease. Seymour Duncan really made something special here. These pickups just feel different than either standard passive or active pickups.

Seymour Duncan Duality Active Pickup testing under way.

Testing of the Duality active pickups from Seymour Duncan is underway. I made a little unboxing video and talk about the pickups.

The video was filmed awhile back and testing has already begun. I always start with testing pickups with a standard 9 volt battery for awhile to get a feel of the pickups. The pickups are impressive at 9 volts. I have a lot to say about them but I am going to hold off until all of my testing is complete. In the meantime check out the video below and subscribe to us for more videos in the future.
